At 4:30pm on Thursday, 26 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the southeastern borders of Burij refugee camp opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at tens of Palestinians joining the Great Return March demonstration in the east of Burij. Three demonstrators were injured, including one child, by live ammunition. Other demonstrators who were affected by inhalation of used tear gas received the necessary treatment by medical teams based in the field. Israeli shooting continued until 7:30pm on the same day.
