At 1:00pm on Monday, 2 April 2018, Israeli forces based in monitoring sites on the eastern borders of Jabalia refugee camp opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at hundreds of Palestinian youth and children joining the “Great Return March” demonstration to the east of Al Shuhada cemetery in Jabalia. Two Palestinians were injured in Israeli shooting—one by a live bullet, and both in the lower parts of their bodies. Doctors at the Indonesia hospital assessed casualties to be moderate. Protesters who suffered from gas inhalation received medical treatment in the field. Israeli forces continued shooting at demonstrators until the evening of the same day.
