On Saturday, 7 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders near Malaka area in the east of Al Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza city opened fire and launched tear-gas grenades at tens of protesters who gathered near the separation borders to reaffirm their right of return to their homes from which they were expelled in 1948 and 1967. Three protesters, including a child, were injured. Medical sources at Al Shifa hospital described their injuries as moderate. Israeli shooting continued until the evening.
