At 2:40pm on Saturday, 31 March 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Al Shoka town in Rafah opened fire at protesters joining the “Great Return March” demonstration, called for by a national committee of Palestinian factions to mark Land Day. All residents of Al Shabora neighborhood of Rafah, seven protesters, including a child, were injured in Israeli shooting; doctors at Abu Yousef Al Najjar hospital described their injuries as moderate.
