At 3:30pm on Friday, 30 March 2018, Israeli artillery located on the eastern borders of Johor Al Deek in southeastern Gaza city attacked with two shells two Palestinian men who were near the separation fence. Medical staff could not approach the two men as they were close to the fence, and their case remained unknown until, on Saturday 31 March 2018, their families shared information of their death. This information was later confirmed by the head of the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) through a social media post, additionally providing that the dead bodies of both men were still kept by Israeli forces. The deaths are Mosab Zuhair Al Saloul, 23, and Mohammed Mohareb Al Rabaya, 22, and both are residents of Nusairat refugee camp in the Middle Area governorate.
