At 03:30pm on Tuesday, 6 February 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders near Nahal Oz crossing, opened fire at a group of Palestinians, including children and young men, who demonstrated in eastern Gaza city. The demonstration was held in protest of the latest U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Israeli forces used live ammunition, rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse demonstrators. One demonstrator sustained a light injury. Shooting continued until 06:00p.m. on the same day.
