At 19:15 on 20 August 2017, Tayel Jihad Mohanna, 16, was wounded in the head during a fight with one of his neighbors in Al-Seraij neighborhood in Al-Qarara area of north-east Khan Younis. He was hit on head with a sharp tool, and he was taken to the European Gaza Hospital. At 21:00 on Monday 21 August 2017, doctors reported the fatality of his wound and he died.
The police and the public prosecution have opened an investigation into the case and ordered that Tayel’s body be forensically diagnosed for assessment of death reasons. The accused attacker was taken to detention.
