At approximately 7:20 pm on Saturday, 29 April 2017, internal security apparatus detained journalist Ammer Awni Ba’lousha, 24, resident of Mashrou’ Beit Lahiya, at jabaliya police station.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, a force from the internal security apparatus riding a white bus stopped Ba’lousha while he was walking in the street neat Al Fakhoura School in jabaliya refugee camp. The force then arrested Ba’lousha. It’s believed that Ba’lousha was arrested on freedom of opinion and expression ground.
