At approximately 6:00 am on Sunday, 26 March 2017, Israeli gunboats opened heavy fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were within the allowed fishing zone. As a result, fishermen abandoned their work and sailed to land immediately. No injuries or causalities were reported.
