At approximately 5:00 am on Thursday, 23 March 2017, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off Gaza sea and arrested two fishermen.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, three Israeli gunboats opened fire at a small Palestinian boat that carry two fishermen on board. The boat was about three nautical miles away from Gaza port western Gaza city when the Israeli gunboats opened fire at it. The Israeli forces surrounded the small boat and arrested the two fishermen. Al Mezan identified their names as follows:
They are residents of Al Shate’ refugee camp in the west of Gaza city. The IOF took them to unknown destination and confiscated their boat.
