At approximately 5:30 pm on Saturday, 18 June 2016, a young man was injured due to mishandling of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Al Tawaheen area eastern Al Sheja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza City. He sustained injury at his right hand and shrapnel wounds in different parts of his body. Medical sources at Al Shifa Hospital described his injury as moderate. It’s worth mentioning that the Al Tawaheen area was the place of IOF operations during the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip in 2014 and it was expected that the UXO was left by the IOF.
