A Palestinian Commits suicide in Al Aqsa Hospital

At approximately 8:30 AM on Monday, 4 April 2016, a 45 year old man by the initials M.G. who is a resident of Al-Nusairat camp, died after he committed suicide by setting himself on fire. According to Al Mezan’s available information, the victim went to the accounting department of Al Aqsa Hospital to claim his ID card, which had been confiscated for failing to pay hospital fees. The accounting department asked him to pay the money, so he poured a flammable substance on himself and set it on fire. Medical staff could not rescue him and he was pronounced dead. The police opened an investigation into the case.
