Madi family, Rafah

At approximately 3:00 pm on Friday 1 August 2014, Israeli warplane fired one missile targeting the house of Salem Salim Salim Madi, which is located in Omar Ibn Al Khattab Street in Al Shaboura neighborhood in Rafah. Another 13 people were injured in the attack.

As a result, 6 members were killed identified as: 

  1. Bassam Salim Madi (32);
  2. Iman Nazmi Madi (31) Bassam wife;
  3. Hala Bassam Madi (4) Bassam and Iman's daughter;
  4. Jana Bassam Madi (2) Bassam and Iman's daughter;
  5. Yousif Ahmed Madi (2) Bassam nephew;
  6. Suleiman Salim Madi (53) Bassam's uncle who died on 8 August 2014 in an Egyptian hospital from wounds he had sustained in this attack.
