Ibrahim Ramadan Hassan Abu Dhaqa was killed by Israeli forces on his tenth birthday. Ibrahim, from Khan Younis, was a wrestling fan. He especially liked the wrestler John Cena. He also liked watching cartoons. He was very close to his mother and spent much of his time by her side. He was a smart boy and had managed to memorize three chapters of the Quran in the space of a month. He was hoping to be a lawyer when he grew up.
On 17 July 2014, Ibrahim’s 10th birthday, an Israeli drone targeted the car that was carrying Ibrahim and his family. They were returning home from the Gaza European Hospital in Khan Younis after visiting his 22-year-old brother who was to be referred to Jordan for medical treatment. Ibrahim was killed in the attack.
“He was very obedient. He always wanted to satisfy me,” Khadra, his grandmother, said.
