Short Link:
Name: Mohamed Ibrahim Abu Khusah
Date of birth: 9 August 2012
Date of death: 29 July 2014
One-year-old Mohamed from Al Bureij refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a naughty and active child. He was very close to his parents. He liked to watch flying kites. He liked to go to supermarket with his father. “His family relocated to my house in Al Sawarhah in search of safety and shelter,” said his uncle Basheer.
On 29 July 2014, our house was bombarded by Israeli warplanes. The house was attacked with missiles without prior warning. The house was destroyed and we were buried beneath the rubble. Rescuers were able to pull me out. Mohamed's little body could not resist the explosion and the falling rubble. He was killed ten days away from celebrating his second birthday.
