Short Link:
Name: Maysara Ra’fat Al Louh
Date of birth: 17 January 2006
Date of Death: 20 August 2014
Maysara from Hekr Al Jame’e in Deir Al Balah in the south of the Gaza Strip was a serious, responsible, and shy child. “He was my second grandchild and the dearest,” said his grandfather. “He was very ambitious and hoped to be an engineer. His behavior was very adult like.”
On 20 August 2014, an Israeli warplane launched a missile at Ra’fat Al Louh’s house. The house was destroyed and the whole family was killed, including 8 year old Maysara. “We found his body on the third floor of our neighbor’s house,” his grandfather said.
“They have left a huge vacuum in my life,” his grandfather added.
