Two-year-old Jana from Al Berkah in Deir Al Balah was an adorable and sweet child. She liked to play with her toys and she took very good care of them. Her hair was blonde. She liked to buy new clothes. “She was looking forward to celebrating Eid wearing her new dress,” said her aunt. She liked to watch the Toyor Al Janah children’s channel.
At 3:00 pm on 23 July 2014, An Israeli drone fired a missile at the family’s house without prior warning. The modest house was destroyed. Jana sustained serious shrapnel injuries to the head, chest, and stomach. She was taken to the hospital. Many attempts were made to save her life but she died after a few hours.
