Name: Hadi Hail Abu Dahrouj
Date of birth: 11 November 2012
Date of death: 23 August 2014
Hadi, one and a half-year, from Al Zawaida in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an active child. He had a strong personality. He was close to his grandmother and used to help her raise her chickens. He liked to go to the beach. “He liked to hide and make his family search for him. We used to find him near the chicken coops,” said his uncle Sulaiman.
On 16 July 2014, our family was asked to evacuate our house by Israeli forces. After ten minutes most of the house was destroyed, with just a small part still inhabitable. Many of us returned to our home. On 22 July 2014, without warning, the house was attacked again. Six people were instantly killed, including Hadi. “I feel so sad about losing them. I visit their graves for hours, just talking to them,” said his cousin Abed Rabu.
