Short Link:
Name: Hadeel Amer Abdel Hamid Al Bayoumi.
Date of birth: 10 March 2001
Date of death: 1 August 2014
Thirteen-year-old Hadeel from Camp-5 in Al Nusairat refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a calm and sensitive child. She was an outstanding student at school. She used to spend her time playing with her cousins. Her ambition was to be an ophthalmologist to fix her eyes. “Hadeel’s mother can’t talk about what had happened. She does not want to go to her damaged house,” said Hadeel’s aunt.
At 7:30 pm on 1 August 2014, when many families and relatives were gathered in Al Hassan's house an Israeli missile struck the house. There was no prior warning. The house was completely destroyed over the heads of its residents. A large number of people sustained injuries and 16 people were killed, including Hadeel.
