Name: Farah Ra’fat Al Louh
Date of birth: 14 February 2008
Date of Death: 20 August 2014
Six-year-old Farah from Hekr Al Jame’e in Deir Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an only child. She was supposed to start school soon. She liked to go shopping with her mother. Farah used to spend her time with her best friend Lina. She loved drawing.
On 20 August 2014, an Israeli warplane launched a missile at Ra’fat Al Louh’s house. The house was destroyed and the whole family was killed, including Farah. “After two hours of searching, we found her body on top of a tin-sheet awning, very far away from the site of attack. Her absence has left a huge vacuum in my life,” said her grandfather.
