Nine-year-old Nedal from Gaza City was a very smart child. He was an outstanding student at school and dreamed of becoming a famous engineer. His hobbies included playing computer games and football. He was very close to his mother and would often accompany her when she went out. “He was anxious about the arrival of his baby sister,” said his mother.
On 17 July 2014, when Waseem and his cousins were feeding pigeons on the rooftop of their house, without warning, an Israeli warplane targeted them with a missile. Three children including Waseem were killed instantly. Their bodies were scattered.
