Three-year-old Rahaf from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip liked balloons and playing just like other children. Her favorite dress was the white wedding dress and she used to put it on in all special events. She liked to put some of her mother's make-up.
On 30 July 2014, there was an intense and violent random Israeli shelling and bombing. Some shells hit her house. Her mother tried to protect her and her brother, “but she died in my arms wearing her white dress,” her mother recounted.
