At approximately 9:30 am on Thursday 19 June 2014, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea west of Al Waha area.
The Israeli forces surrounded a fishing boat and forced two fishermen who were on its board to take off their clothes and swim towards the gunboat.
The Israeli forces then arrested them.
Al Mezan identified their names as: Raed Suhail Sa’ad Allah, 30, and his brother Ramiz, 28.
The Israeli forces took them to Ashdod port.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, IOF confiscated their boat and their equipment.
At approximately 11:50 pm on the same day, they were released but the boat is still confiscated.
It’s worth mentioning that Al Mezan has documented many violations against fishermen in the last few days.
