According to information available to Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, at approximately 8:00 pm on Saturday, 30 November 2013, four masked, armed men dressed in police uniforms and driving a civilian car kidnapped Iyad Abdel Kareem Hasan Al Madhoun, 43, while he was in his home near Al Tauba mosque in Jabaliya refugee camp. Al Madhoun was taken to an unidentified location. At approximately 2:00 am on Sunday, 1 December 2013, Iyad’s dead body was found at the western gate of Kamal Odwan Hospital in the North Gaza district. According to medical sources, Al Madhoun died from severe beating. Police opened an investigation into the incident and referred the body for forensic examination.
