On Monday, July 1st 2013 at approximately 2:30 pm, a dispute erupted between two families near the Heifa School in the center of Khan Younis. The argument escalated to the use of live fire, where two people were injured and a third sustaining bruises. The three victims were admitted to Nasser Hospital where medical staff described their injuries as moderate. Police opened an investigation into the incident.
