On Friday, 30 March 2013, at approximately 12:00 pm, IOF positioned near the eastern separation fence opened fire toward civil demonstrations held in commemoration of Land Day, and organized by the Popular Refugees Committee in al Nahda “Jewish” neighborhood located in al Shawka town, east of Rafah. Demonstrators planted saplings during the protests. No causalities or injuries were reported.
