At approximately 8:00 am on Thursday 8 October 2012, Israeli tanks and armored bulldozers moved under heavy covering fire about 300 meters into the east of Al Qarrara village northeast of Khan Younis.
The bulldozers leveled lands that had been frequently razed before.
Few hours later, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) moved to the south wards to the east parts of Abasan.
At approximately 4:30 pm on the same day, Ahmed Younis Abu Daqqa, 13, was injured while he was playing with his friends in front of his house about 1,500 meters away from the separation fence.
The child was admitted by a civilian car to the Gaza European Hospital where his injury was described as critical as he sustained a bullet that entered the left side of his abdomen.
Fifty minutes later, the child was pronounced dead.
At approximately 12:50 am on Friday 9 November 2012, the IOF withdrew from the area.
