At approximately 12:30 pm on Sunday 20 May 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at agricultural lands east of Al Qarara village, to the east of Khan Younis.
As a result, Waheed Ali Abdel Kareem Az-Zir, 22, sustained a bullet wound in the left leg while he was in a field near his home, about 600 meters away from the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
He was admitted to Nasser Hospital, where his injury was described as moderate.
