Explosion in Jabaliya Kills Child and Injures Five Students

At approximately 9:25 am on Monday 12 March 2012, six students arrived at Kamal Odwan and Shifa Hospitals.
  Medical sources announced the death of Nayf Sha’ban Qarmout, 14, and the injury of other five students.
Al Mezan has identified them as follows:   ·         Sa’eed Raed Al ‘Attar, 14; ·         Salih Nayf Qarmout, 14; ·         Tamer Nabil Azzam, 16; ·         Hani Adnan Al Qanou’, 16; and ·         Mu’ayyad al-Qanou’, 18.
  They are students at Sa’ad Bin Abi Waqqas and Usama Ibn Zaid Schools in the area.
  The injuries of two were described as critical.
  According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the students found unexploded ordnance in an unpaved street west of Al Khuzundar petroleum station in Jabaliya.
  The ordnance exploded when the students tried to handle it.
