At approximately 6:00 pm on Saturday 14 January 2012, a huge explosion took place at the house of Ibrahim Al Qaisi, the secretary-general of the Popular Resistance Committees, near Ebad Ar-Rahman mosque in the vicinity of Al Quds Open University in the Al Junena neighborhood of Rafah. According to medical sources at Abu Yousif An-Najjar hospital, Khalid Jamal Al Qaisi, 38, was killed and four other persons were injured.
