At approximately 03:00 on Sunday, 20 November 2011, unknown persons detonated an explosive device near a house in Deir Al Balah in Middle Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, an explosive device was planted about 25 metres away from the house of Husam Mohammed Abu Samra, 52, on An-Nakheel Street in the west of Deir Al Balah.
As a result one woman and two children, a boy and a girl, were injured and several houses were damaged.
Al Mezan identified the injured persons as follows:
· Ahmed Issam Al Bhesi, 6, sustained injuries to his face and left hand;
· Omniya Salman Al Abed, 11, sustained injuries his/her right eye and ear; and
· Muzna Jaber Abu Obeid, 28, sustained injuries to her face and head.
Medical sources at Al Aqsa Hospital described their injuries as light.
Windowpanes of 15 houses were also damaged in the incident.
