On Sunday 23 October 2011, the Gazan government prevented nine members of the Fatah Revolutionary Council from traveling via Erez crossing to participate in the activities of the party’s seventh convention, which is due to be held on 26 October 2011 in the West Bank.
According to the information available to Al Mezan, at approximately 10:00 am on Sunday, Gaza police stationed at the Customs Checkpoint on Salah Ad-Din Street near the Erez crossing prevented three members of the Fatah Revolutionary Council from traveling and informed the other members of the decision.
Al Mezan identified the three men stopped as:
· Amal Hamad;
· Zainab Al Wazaeer; and
· Abu Jouda An-Nahal.
