At approximately 6:00 pm on Friday 23 September 2011, Palestinian police prevented the management of Gallery restaurant, located near the As-Saleh tower in Tal Al Hawa neighborhood in the west of Gaza City, from showing the speech of President Mahmoud Abbas at the UN.
Two police officers entered the restaurant and threatened the management, telling them the restaurant would be closed if they did not stop showing the presidential speech.
A verbal dispute started and the police arrested Jamal Abu Al-Qumsan.
