At approximately 4:45 pm on Wednesday 21 September 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinian farmers who were in their fields in the vicinity of the Erez crossing, near the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel in the north of Beit Hanoun.
No casualties or injuries were reported, but the farmers were frightened and abandoned their fields.
