Palestinian Dies from Wounds Sustained during Operation Cast Lead

At approximately 4:30 am on Friday 16 September 2011, medical sources in Khan Younis announced the death of Khalid Suliman Kaware’, 43, from wounds he had sustained during the winter 2008-2009 Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip (Operation Cast Lead).
  At approximately 3:00 pm on Thursday 8 January 2009, Kaware’ was walking in Al Mnara Street in the town of An-Nasser, north of Rafah, when an Israeli drone fired on him.
As a result, four employees of An-Nasser municipality were injured while they were fixing water pipes in the same area.
Kaware’ sustained critical wounds and both his legs were amputated.
He was referred to a hospital outside the Gaza Strip, but his health condition continued to deteriorate and he went into a coma.
  He remained comatose up until medical sources pronounced him dead.
