At approximately 8:30 pm on Thursday 8 September 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) fired three artillery shells targeting the town of Al-Qarara in the northeast of Khan Younis district. The shells fell in an open agricultural field near the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel. No casualties or damages were reported.
