At approximately 1:30 pm on Sunday 4 September 2011, medical sources at Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital announced that Hassan Jamel Al Badrasawi, 21, had been injured due to electric shock. Al Badrasawi, who is from Khan Younis, was working inside a tunnel on the Gaza-Egypt border when he was electrocuted in an accident. He was referred to the European Gaza Hospital where his injury was described as critical.
