At approximately 7:30am on Saturday 19th March 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) fired several artillery shells at the villages of Al Qarrara and Abasan, East of Khan Younis.
The sporadic fire lasted until approximately 9am on the same day.
As a result, the Ammar bin Yaser Mosque, which is located in the village of Abasan was partially damaged.
No casualties or injuries were reported but people were terrified.
