At approximately 8am on Sunday 23 January 2011, Yasmeen Ahmed Mohammed Salah, 16, died from injuries she sustained due to an explosion.
The explosion took place while the girl was at her house in the Ash-Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza city.
The reasons behind the explosion have remained unknown.
One of victim's brothers, who asked for his name to be kept anonymous, said that the incident was a result of a ‘mistake’, and it was just a ‘matter of fate’.
