5:30pm on Wednesday 11 August 2010, a family feud erupted between the Matar and Salih families in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
According to Al Mezan's field investigations, the feud started as members the Matar family put electric devices on the sidewalk.
A quarrel started between members of the two families.
The situation developed and cudgels and iron pipes were used.
A person opened fire from a balcony of his house.
As a result, seven persons were injured by live bullets and shrapnel and four passersby were injured; one of whom critically.
The police arrived at the scene of the incident and contained the situation.
They arrested several persons.
In all, 13 persons were admitted to Shifa Hospital.
