Woman Injured in Explosion in Rafah

11am on Wednesday 28 July 2010, medical sources at Abu Yousif An-Najjar Hospital in the town of Rafah reported that a woman, Mas'ouda Rabba' Abu Shalouf, 21 was injured by shrapnel in different parts of the body.
According to police sources, Abu Shalouf was injured while she was making fire for household use near her house, which is located in the vicinity of the Gaza International Airport southeast of Rafah.
It was not confirmed whether the explosion was caused by an unexploded ordinance fired by IOF, who operate routinely in the area, or another kind of explosives.
