2am on Tuesday 13 July 2010, a grenade thrown into the playground of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).
The grenade exploded and no causalities or injuries were reported.
According to different sources, unknown persons riding a motorcycle threw a bomb into the YMCA, which is located in the Al Jalaa' street in Gaza City.
Police started an investigation into the incident.
The YMCA staff members and the YMCA's director refused to talk to Al Mezan's field worker about the incident.
On 15 February 2008, the YMCA was attacked and its library was burnt.

1:45am on 15 February 2008, ten armed masked men broke into the administrative building of the YMCA in Al Jallaa' street in Gaza City.
The assailants detained the YMCA's guard then broke into the building and burnt the library.
There were about 8000 books in the library most of them were bought from children's donations.
The library was considered an important cultural monument, which had been built ten years ago.
Hundreds of people of different ages benefited from it.
