The North Gaza District Police banned the organization of the commemoration of Brigade Kamal Abdel Aziz Ghanim Nagi (also called Kamal Medhat), which was on Saturday 27 March 2010.
According to Al Mezan's field investigations, the National Work Committee have to get a written consent from the North Gaza District to organize the commemoration.
The consent was signed by the vice governor of North Gaza District Police, Mr.
Abu Hatim As-Sisi.
Nevertheless, in the evening hours on Friday Mr.
As-Sisi called the members of the National Work Committee and informed them that the commemoration was banned as Kamal Medaht was a Fatah affiliate.
Kamal Medhat was assassinated on 27 March 2009 in Lebanon.
He was one of top Fatah members in Lebanon and he was member of Palestinian Liberation Organization.
