At approximately 1:15am on Thursday 28 July 2009, unknown persons detonated an explosive device in the house of Khader Mohammed Mahmud Karmot.
The device was planted at the house's gate.
The area of the 3-story house is about 180 square meters, and it is located opposite the southern side of Kamal Odwan Hospital in North Gaza's town of Beit Lahiya.
The explosion destroyed the gate, the wall near it, one door inside the house, and the garage's door.
It also caused damages to the owner's car.
It shattered the glass of nine windows in the house as well as windows in the neighboring houses.
The house owner told Al Mezan that he had no enemies.
The police asserts that the bomb is locally made and that it was detonated by a person who was near the house.
Investigations reveal the circumstances of the incident are going on.
