The IOF have continued their excessive attacks on Northern Gaza and eastern Khan Younis, targeting civilians and their property, using tank missiles, scouting jet rockets, helicopters and naval gun ships.
These attacks have resulted in the killing of 17 Palestinians and the injuring of 53 others, including 7 children, 3 of whom sustained critical injuries.
Further, the IOF have destroyed an electricity transformer on the coastline which supplies large areas in Gaza City with electricity, including Al Shifa Hospital.
Al Mezan Condemns the Israeli war crimes and emphasizes that the deliberate killing of civilians is a grave breach of International Humanitarian Law, particularly the 4th Geneva Convection Relative to the Protection of Civilians in Times of War, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Al Mezan calls upon the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities under the 4th Geneva Convention, and take effective steps towards ensuring protection for the Palestinians, particularly in this time when indicators have demonstrated Israel's intention to commit further crimes.
