On 31 August at approximately 9:30am, a group of unknown armed persons staged an assault on Al Manar Medical Laboratory in central Khan Younis. On man, Ahmed Shahwan, 33, was kidnapped,and the laboratory was set on fire. Later, a group of armed persons closed off Al Masriyin Street in Khan Younis, protesting the killing of a youth in a previous accident.
