On 9/5/2007, at approximately 02:00, unknown armed men opened intense fire at the building of the General Intelligence Apparatus in As Sudania area near the beach. Consequently, intelligence members exchanged fire with the armed men who later fled. The building was badly damaged as a result .No information is available regarding the identity of the perpetrators or the motivations behind the incident.
