At approximately 01:10 on the 11th of May 2007, unknown armed men, stationed close to a checkpoint set up in Aslan area, in western Jabalia Refugee camp, opened fire at a car as its driver refused to stop at the checkpoint.
As a result, the driver Wa'il Mahmoud Abu Ihmeidan, 29, was injured by a live bullet to his back, and Farid Ahmed Olwan, 57, was injured by a live bullet to his left leg.
The latter was standing in front of his house when the shots were fired.
According to medical sources, Abu Ihmeidan sustained serious injuries.
