On 13/5/2007, at approximately 14:30, unknown armed men kidnapped the journalists Mohammed Mater, 25, and Solaiman Abd Ar Rahim Al Ashi, 25, who used to work for Palestine newspaper. The two journalists were in Tel Al Hawa neighborhood in Gaza when their car was intercepted. Two hours later, the journalists were found close to Al Katiba area in Gaza: One of them had been killed while the other was left severely injured. Both had been hit by several live bullets. Al Ashi died of his injuries this morning at 03:00.
