On 2 June 2007, at app. 10:30, Two military intelligence members Mohammed Adel Al Afaghani, 27, and Mohammed Mostafa Al Bora'i , 28, were injured by live bullets to their abdomen, as they exchanged fire with others in their work place, in Deir Al Balah. Both were sent to Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for medical treatment. The latter was reported to have sustained serious injury.
